As with postal mail, email is becoming increasingly bogged down with Junk mail more known as Spam. Email spam has steadily, even exponentially grown since the early 1990s to several billion spam messages a day.
To combat this Hobb Computer Services Ltd have successfully partnered with a service leader and are now proud to offer their all-in-one Anti-Spam & Anti-Virus Solution (AVS). This AVS network consists of clustered and redundant servers in order to ensure continuity of service in the event of hardware failure.
Deploying tools such as white lists, blacklists, trusted email addressing and complex Bayesian analysis we are able to filter out up to 95% of spam as an “out of the box” solution. With fine tuning by you and us, we can reach near 99% effectiveness.
The AVS system itself does not “touch” your server and can be setup remotely without us ever having to visit your premises. Essentially to deploy the solution we request that you change your internet mail records to divert your email to our “clearing house” which then checks the emails and forwards the genuine emails as normal but diverts the spam to a designated mailbox. All of this is transparent to you and there is a minimal delay between checking the email and sending onto you.
